Rainscreen cladding façade RCV:


  • Improved performance with respect to atmospheric agents [+]
    The air-conditioning saving of a building can be estimated at between 20 and 25% with respect to traditional finishes.

    - In summer, the sun falls directly onto the cladding and not on the building, it heats the air of the chamber, reducing its density, and causing it to rise by convection, letting renewed, cool air occupy its place.

    - - In winter, the solar radiation is not sufficient for the air to circulate by convection. In this case, the façade would act as a heat accumulator, in which case the outside air chamber helps towards the thermal stability of the system.
  • Fast execution [+]
    The execution times are much shorter than with a traditional enclosure as this is a mechanical system.
  • Lightness of the system[+]
    The approximate weight of the entire system, including the ceramics is around 35 kg/m²
  • Tile replacement without the need for construction work
  • Airborne noise reduction [+]
    It is possible to reduce the airborne noise received by a building in the range of 10 %.
  • Elimination of condensation due to humidity
  • Ideal system for refurbishments [+]
    As it is light system, it does not overload the structure, and therefore it can be used on buildings that have not been constructed for this purpose. Thanks to the modularity of the ceramics, we can adapt to all different needs.

Project, modulation and execution

EDITECNOSoffers end-to-end management of rainscreen cladding façades, carrying out both the execution and its modulation. This latter point is very important for the execution, as the correct optimisation of the ceramics can considerably reduce the final economic cost of the façade.

Rainscreen cladding assembly phases

  1. It represents a normal enclosure, which may be brick, concrete, etc. [+]
  2. Firstly, some brackets or separators are put into place, the largest ones being situated at the edge of the slab to support the weight of the façade; and the smallest ones in the existing enclosure, which we would use only as fixation. [+]
  3. Some T-shaped profiles are placed from separator to separator. [+]
  4. The thermal insulation is fitted, either projected with polyurethane, rockwool, fibreglass, etc. [+]
  5. We place the clamps or anchorages using self-drilling screws. There are different types of anchorages depending on whether the piece is a corner piece, start piece, etc. [+]
  6. The ceramic tiles are positioning at the same time as the anchorages. They, in turn, are glued to the T-shaped profile with an adhesive so that the part is secured both with the clamp (mechanical anchorage) and by the chemical anchorage. This is done to afford greater safety.[+]
